Works Under the Law – vs – Works of Faith - Unending Grace Week 12
In this 12 teaching of our Unending Grace series, we begin to look at what the scriptures say about works. The scripture both clearly states that we don’t attain our salvation by our works, and yet at the same time addresses our works in relation to our faith. In this teaching we unpack how these works coexist, without contradicting the truth of Grace.
Recap Points
The scripture addresses 2 dimensions. The realm of the flesh, and the realm of the Spirit. While the same artifacts exist in both, they are completely different and operate differently in each respective realm.
Everything that we learn under the flesh, must be relearned in the Spirit. (John 3:3)
The work of the law, is work that you do so you can get something from God. But the work of faith, is work that you do because you have received your identity from God by faith.
The work that you do because of your faith, causes your faith to come alive.
God never operates out of the realm of the flesh. He always operates out of the realm of the Spirit.
