Who we are
Word of Christ is a community of amazing believers organized in small groups across the globe. These groups are on the same journey, with one heart, and a common pursuit of understanding and living new life in Christ Jesus. Our four core pillars of our ministry are:
Teaching
There is an endless depth to knowing Christ. We pursue the heart of the Father in Scripture to understand the mysteries that have been hidden for us, and not from us.
Family
We believe in thriving, multi-generational families. We recognize that the family unit we’ve been given is modeled after the very relationships we see in God (Father to Son, and Groom to Bride). We are committed to establish faith and heritage within families that strengthen them from generation to generation. Building families where children grow deeper in knowledge, revelation and faith.
Relationships with One Another
Every believer has a gift. Everyone brings something to the table. Individually we never reach our destiny, but connected, we build each other up and cause each other to grow into the full expression of Christ.
This is where we achieve meaning and purpose. When the life and love of God moves through us, we move beyond the superficial. We, ourselves, are a source of life to others.
An Encounter with Christ
It’s not enough to learn about God. Unless you encounter the person of Christ, you do not know the Father. Experiencing His love goes beyond what our intellect can reason or comprehend. It is an undeniable experience that grounds us in the truth of His existence and His deliberate intent for us. Encountering Christ causes us to see Him. And when we see Christ, we see ourselves as we should.
What we believe
We believe that the truth of the Gospel and power of God’s grace will transform us into the image of His Son. With this as the center of our hope, our mission is to create a vibrant family of hope-filled believers who deeply experience the love and presence of God and seek to express the joy and power of His kingdom in every area of life.
Believers grow together, not in isolation.
The Father is Merciful, Gracious, Compassionate and Loving.
The hardness of heart turned Man from a loving God.
Christ is the Son who turns the heart of the Children to their Father.
The Bible is the Mystery of this Christ from Genesis to Revelation.
The Holy Spirit turns the Mystery to Revelation.
The Revelation of Christ is the Revelation of the Son of God.
The fullness of the Revelation of Christ ushers in the fullness of Life in Spirit, Soul and Body.
Eternal Life is not time-driven but revelation-based knowing of God.
The End Times is the end of the age of Adamic-Death and the beginning of the age of Christ-Life.
A generation of Immortal Sons shall walk on earth executing the Judgment of God and destroying death forever.
God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the likeness and nature of God.
Our Leadership
Laura Cannatello
A mom to 4 children, their spouses, and 9 beautiful grandchildren, Pastor Laura is the founding Pastor at Word of Christ International Church. Along with her loving husband, Pastor Vin, she founded Word of Christ in 1997. Together, they sowed over 20 years of love and ministry into countless lives in Southwest Florida and beyond. After the passing of Pastor Vin in August of 2020, Pastor Laura’s heart and leadership continues with a powerful voice at Word of Christ International Church in our new season.
Bill and Karen Ramalho
Bill & Karen have been part of Word of Christ International Church since the very first day. As part of the Cannatello & Ramalho family, Bill, Karen, their 4 children and daughter-in-law, have walked with Pastor Vin & Laura through ministry and through life. With years of experience in ministry, business, entrepreneurship, & technology, Bill carries a deeply rooted vision for the expression of the Church and enthusiastically works with the leadership team to equip and inspire the Word of Christ family in building relationships, strengthening families, and ultimately growing into the lives God designed for us.
Masoud and Rose Ramandi
Based in Calgary, Canada, Masoud & Rose have a genuine heart of the Father. They love God, love people, and love His Word. With a passion to discover the mysteries of Christ and a clear gift of teaching, Masoud & Rose are Word of Christ’s lead teaching ministers. Not only leaders at Word of Christ International Church, they also lead Perfected By Blood ministries, a transformative ministry teaching new life internationally to believers across the globe.
Jesse DiMartino
A long-term ministry and personal friend of Word of Christ for 10+ years, Jesse DiMartino is a visionary leader with a rich background in both ministry and business. Jesse is an inspirational speaker and leader with an authentic passion and gift for developing and encouraging leadership teams. Working with our group leaders, Jesse supports our teams in building and cultivating engaging small groups and gatherings for our community of believers at Word of Christ. He connects with a clear, straightforward, and honest love. It’s impossible to speak to Jesse and not be genuinely inspired, empowered, and have your faith strengthened at its core.
Jim and Ronda Rouches
Husband, Father, and married to his beautiful wife Ronda for 15 years, Jim is the Director for one of the leading substance abuse & mental health treatment centers in Southwest Florida. Appointed 2nd term to the Sarasota Criminal Justice Commission, as well as appointed to the Sarasota substance abuse mental health planning council, Jim purposefully brings the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those he lovingly serves. Part of Word of Christ’s family for 7+ years, Jim is a Pastor, servant of Jesus Christ, and an ardent Michigan State Spartan fan. Go Sparty!
Joe and Melody Bennett
Joe and Melody have been married for 37 years and have been in the ministry for almost 40 years on one level or another. Together they have been senior Pastors for 32 years. They have proclaimed and taught the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Poland and throughout Africa. Joe also ministered in Columbia and the Dominican. They have spent the last 13 years in developing house churches/fellowships as well as networking with existing churches throughout Florida. They desire to develop a more scriptural environment for believers to be discipled and engage with fellow believers in true community.
