From new covenant, to a new testament - The New Man Week 5

There is a place in our maturity in Christ, where we move from living on the promises of God, to living in our full inheritance. In this teaching we examine the legal constructs in scripture that are in effect, based on the completed and full work of Jesus, as we come to understand both the necessity of His death, and the power of His resurrection. This is a powerful teaching that will be clarity to a key dimension of The New Man!

Recap Points

  1. The central figure in the new covenant is God, not us. (Hebrews 8:10)

  2. For a testament to come into effect, there must be the death of the testator. (Hebrews 9:16)

  3. The thing that the blood of Jesus cleanses, is our conscience. (Hebrews 9:14)

  4. The sacrifice of Jesus was enough. (Hebrews 9:25 & 26)

  5. Tablets were the place where the testaments were memorialized.   The tablet of this new testament is the heart. (2 Corinthians 3:3)

  6. Both the death and the resurrection of Christ are vital to this new life.
